Leather jacket inspired by the one worn by Shia LaBeouf in the film “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”.
Wall Street is a powerful, substantial film, a nice punch in the stomach in true Oliver Stone style who managed to conceive a sequel to a legendary 80s film without mimicking the key ideas and major ideas that made it a cult of the past decades . Michael Douglas’ performance is convincing, almost prophetic when he talks about incurable diseases and the passing of time given his recent personal vicissitudes. Very apt, as almost always in the works of the New York director, are some lines (“I’ve fought socialism all my life!” “does my daughter still work for that communist website?”) to the vitriol of the squalid characters who populate the glossy and fake world of murderous brokerage and heedless of the needs of the community which has its greatest breeding ground in America.
