Here he meets the antagonists Ice Man and Slider, Base Commander Mike “Viper” Metcalf and Instructor Jester. He falls in love with Astrophysicist Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood and for the first time in his life he feels great pain over the death of his friend Goose.
