We created this collectible leather backpack for all fans of the 1986 film “TOP GUN.” A great Tom Cruise wearing the most famous pilot jacket in the history of cinema. We chose the dominant color of the jacket, a shade of Scorched Earth, made of calfskin with an aged oiled effect. On the central part is the large patch we see on the back of the jacket: “FAR EAST CRUISE 63-4 – USS GALVESTON,” which refers to American military operations in the Pacific during the Vietnam War. Then there is the F-14 TOMCAT patch. The American flag patch. The “VF-1” Wolfpack 1 patch, therefore the F14 Air Squadron embarked on the aircraft carrier USS ENTERPRISE in the 1970s and 1980s. The “COMCRUDESFLOT 9” patch, which refers to the US NAVY naval group during the Vietnam War, composed of guided missile cruisers. Finally, the “7th FLEET” patch, the Seventh Fleet, the powerful American naval force permanently deployed in the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
A must-have leather backpack for “TOP GUN” fans.
