“The Bridges of Toko-Ri” is a 1954 film directed by Mark Robson, set during the Korean War. It tells of Harry Brubaker, a young lieutenant and lawyer in civilian life, who finds himself piloting a jet. Admiral Tarrant feels a special affection for him, seeing in Harry the memory of his son who died in the war. After a failure forces Harry to make an emergency landing, he is saved by the expert Mike Forney. On board the aircraft carrier, Harry discovers that he has to leave for Tokyo, where his wife Nancy and their two children await him. But first he must face a risky mission: bomb the bridges of Toko-Ri, in a strategic area. Worried about the future, Harry embarks on the mission, knowing that Nancy will be ready for any eventuality.
