THE GREAT ESCAPE Inspired | Leather jacket

A leather jacket inspired by the one worn by Virgil Hilts, played by Steve McQueen in the film “The Great Escape”.

During World War II, after numerous escape attempts, a group of British prisoners, labeled “bad apples”, were concentrated and transferred to the Stalag III camp in Silesia, under the control of the Luftwaffe. Captain Virgil Hilts (Steve McQueen), a skilled British pilot, repeatedly attempts to escape without success. He then realizes the need for a well-thought-out plan that will allow him to escape safely. Meanwhile, Squadron Leader Roger Bartlett arrives in the camp, and it is he who devises an escape plan which involves the construction of three tunnels, nicknamed “Tom”, “Dick” and “Harry”. Bartlett, Hilts and other prisoners thus begin working on the project, not without difficulty. During Independence Day, just before the big breakout, one of the tunnels is discovered, leading to completely unforeseen consequences.
