Red Naplak fabric jacket with black technical fabric inserts, embroidered in gold thread. Trans Am patch on the left front. Inspired by the 1980 film “Smokey and the Bandit” and worn by American actor Burt Reynolds.
After the success of the first film in 1977, the Bandit (Burt Reynolds) suffers from depression and alcoholism. His old rivals, the Enos brothers, track him down and offer him a new challenge: transport a mysterious cargo from Miami to Dallas in just 24 hours.
The “cargo” turns out to be a pregnant elephant. Accompanied by his trusty friend Snowman and his “runaway bride” Carrie, the Bandit must once again face the pedantic and irascible Sheriff Buford T. Justice, who is still obsessed with arresting the Bandit after the humiliation he suffered in the first film.
Key Elements
The Chase: The heart of the film remains the duel between Bandit’s Pontiac Trans Am and Sheriff Justice, who drives an increasingly battered police car as the journey progresses.
