Tobey Marshall owns a garage where he repairs cars and is going through difficult economic times. To avoid bankruptcy, he agrees to repair a car for Dino, a rich and capricious driver. Once the job is done, it is evident that Tobey can drive the car much better than Dino. The latter, to prove the opposite, challenges him in a three-way race. During the race, an accident caused by Dino leads to the death of Tobey’s friend. Tobey is wrongly accused and sentenced to three years in prison. Upon his release, Tobey’s sole aim is to cross the country to participate in one of the most dangerous underground races and defeat Dino, the famous De Leon Race.
