MADONNA – MATERIAL GIRL 1985 – 2010

Madonna on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the release of the album “Material Girl” and therefore in 2010, designed a collection called Material Girl, presented to the international press during a big party at Macy’s in New York. The collection took up the main canons of the Madonna style of the time.

The leather jacket that Hollywood Vintage Jacket has created is inspired by the one worn for the occasion by the actress, singer and model Taylor Momsen, famous for the television series “Gossip Girl” and the cult film “The Grinch”. A rock biker style, the length to the waist, 142 chrome studs to design the large collar and the diagonal zip closure like motorbike jackets. A very soft lambskin makes it fluid and comfortable.

Madonna marked an era, with her character, her music and her creativity and this jacket represents its icon.

The Tailoring tradition of our Master Leather workers is reflected in the ancient production techniques.

We start by carefully assorting the leather in order to find the same characteristics of color, thickness and grain for a perfect assembly. Then it is the turn of the knife model cutting, for a constant control of the raw material, followed by the packaging piece by piece, garment by garment, giving rise each time to a unique creation.
