THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS. For the film company it was a gigantic effort to produce the Film in that summer of 1970. Steve McQueen paid attention to every detail as in the choice of racing suits. He asked for the model identical to Jo Siffert’s, white with red and blue stripes.

As soon as the Swiss watchmaker heard that McQueen had opted for the Jo Siffert suit, where he was sewn onto a large “Heuer Chronograph” patch, he immediately got busy. It was Siffert who called Jack Heuer saying that it would have been appropriate if the actors, and above all the protagonist, had been able to wear one of the creations of the Swiss House.
