Robert Neville is a scientist living in New York and the last surviving man on Earth. He finds himself in a world devastated by a virus that has wiped out 90% of the world’s population. Only 1% of humanity is immune to this virus, created by humans to fight cancer. Neville’s main problem is the remaining 9% of the population, transformed into creatures devoid of humanity, who have killed and devoured the healthy survivors, except for Robert, who seeks a vaccine for those infected. The film, based on Richard Matheson’s book of the same name, is enhanced by effective direction and, above all, by the performance of Will Smith (Robert Neville), who played almost entirely alone.
