The film tells the true story of the American air squadron called “The Flying Tigers”, made up exclusively of volunteers, which was sent to China in 1939 to help the local army against the Japanese invasion and before the official entry into the war of the United States of America with the attack on Pearl Harbor. “The Flying Tigers” pilots flew the legendary P-40 Curtiss fighters with the emblems reproduced in the leather jacket. The large patch embroidered on the back, called “Blood Chit” establishes the alliance between America and China.
