The leather vest, inspired by the one worn by bikers in the movie “Biker Boyz”, is a style icon. Many members of the African-American bourgeoisie lead a normal life during the day, but at night they begin their secret life. They wear leather vests and participate in nightly street fights, wild races on modified motorbikes, and betting fights, all governed by an inflexible code of honor. The leader, Smoke (played by Laurence Fishburne), faces challenges from the cocky son of an old friend and a pair of scammers who organize fake competitions.
